Getting Started
Set up Manuflo in under five minutes and start managing your 3D print business.
Quick start
When you first open Manuflo, the setup wizard walks you through the basics. Here's what to expect:
Create your company
Enter your business name, address, currency, and tax rate. This information appears on your quotes and invoices.
Set up your account
Create your login with a display name, email, and password (minimum 8 characters). You'll receive a recovery key — save it somewhere safe.
Add your printers
Head to the Print Queue page and add your printers — name, manufacturer, model, build volume, and nozzle size.
Add your materials
Go to the Materials page and add your filament or resin stock. Set quantities and low-stock thresholds so you never run out mid-print.
Start taking orders
Create your first order from the Orders page. Add line items with material cost, labour, and markup — Manuflo calculates the total automatically.
Want to see it in action first? Click Load Sample Data in Settings to populate your workspace with demo customers, orders, printers, and materials.
Orders
Every order in Manuflo follows a clear pipeline from creation to payment. Each status represents a real stage in your production workflow:
Advance orders through the pipeline with one click. Each transition is logged in the order's status history with a timestamp, so you can trace exactly when things happened.
Order line items
Each order can have multiple line items. For each item, you set the material cost, labour cost, and markup percentage. Manuflo calculates the unit price and line total automatically. Tax is applied to the order subtotal based on your company's tax rate.
Fulfillment types
Orders can be set to either Delivery or Pickup. Delivery orders go through the "Shipped" stage with tracking number and carrier fields. Pickup orders skip shipping and go through "Ready for Pickup" instead.
Print queue
The Print Queue is your production dashboard. Create print jobs from order line items, assign them to printers, and track progress.
Print job lifecycle
Jobs start as Queued, then move to Printing when you start them (the assigned printer automatically switches to "Printing" status). When complete, the actual print time is recorded. If a print fails, mark it as Failed and retry — Manuflo creates a new queued job automatically.
When all print jobs for an order are complete, the order auto-advances to QC status.
Printer management
Add your printers with manufacturer, model, build volume, nozzle size, and type (FDM, SLA, etc.). Each printer tracks its total print hours and active job count. Printer status updates automatically based on job activity.
Materials
Track your filament and resin inventory with real-time stock levels. Each material has a name, type (PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, Nylon, Resin), colour, brand, cost per unit, and current stock quantity.
Low-stock alerts
Set a low-stock threshold for each material. When stock drops below the threshold, the material card shows a warning so you can reorder before running out.
Usage logging
Log material usage against print jobs. Stock decrements automatically, and the cost flows through to the order's line item material cost for accurate job costing.
Maintenance
Keep your printers in top shape with maintenance logging. Record routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades with dates, costs, and next-due reminders.
When you log maintenance on a printer, its status automatically changes to "Maintenance". Set a next-due date and Manuflo will surface upcoming maintenance items so nothing gets missed.
Customers
Manuflo maintains a customer database that links to orders, quotes, and invoices. Customers are auto-created when you enter new orders with a customer name and email, and existing customers are matched automatically to avoid duplicates.
Each customer record shows their order count, lifetime value, and last order date — giving you a clear picture of your best customers at a glance.
Quotes & invoices
Quotes
Create professional PDF quotes for customers. Quotes follow their own lifecycle: Draft, Sent, Accepted, Expired, or Declined. Accepted quotes can be converted to orders with one click — all line items carry over automatically.
Invoices
Generate invoices directly from orders. The invoice pulls in your company details (name, address, logo), customer information, and all line items with tax calculations. Export as a PDF to send to your customer.
Dashboard
The Revenue Dashboard gives you a high-level view of your business performance. See month-to-date and year-to-date revenue, expenses (maintenance + materials), net profit, average order value, and your top customers — all with visual charts.
The dashboard is available on the Starter plan and above.
Settings
Manage your company profile, update your tax rate and currency, set your auto-lock timeout, and customise the app's appearance. Manuflo supports 4 colour themes and 3 modes (light, dark, and system) so you can match your workspace to your preference.
You can also load sample data from Settings to explore the app with demo content before entering your own.
